Is it Chrsitmas Already??

Well we all know the answer to that question--Yes Christmas is here.

I guess I'll back track a little here--we had a great Thanksgiving. Anna Claire had her 9 month (she was actually 10 months) check up on November 23 and she was in the 50th percentile for height and weight. She also got a flu shot, which she actually did great with--not even one single tear. She is getting around pretty good now--she isn't crawling much, but she can sure scoot where she wants to go.

After Thanksgiving our office went on Vacation to Branson. We had a great time and really enjoyed it. Friday night we went to Dixie Stampede and it was actually very, very good. We have seen the show before, but never the Christmas show, but it was well worth the money and Anna Claire LOVED it! On Saturday we went to Silver Dollar City and about froze to death and it was much to crowded for me and Paydon didn't enjoy it either because there were way too many people trying to get around it just wasn't enjoyable at all. We did manage to see one show while there and it was a 20 minute Frosty the Snowman show, but Paydon liked it--Anna Claire slept thru it, so I guess she enjoyed it too. Sunday we headed back home, but stopped on the way at Springfield for Paydon to look around at all the animals at the Bass Pro shop there--it is huge! Paydon really enjoyed it. We then got back on the road headed home, well we thought it was the road to home, it was actually the road north and we do not live north of Springfield we live southeast of it, so after about 35 minutes we realized we missed our turn back toward home, so we spent about 35 minutes backtracking, but finally got on the correct road home. We had a very enjoyable trip, very relaxed, we really needed it too.

In other news the kiddos are both doing well. Paydon is doing well in school and Anna Claire is doing well at eating, and eating, and sleeping. She jabbers up a storm now. She will try to say Ho, Ho, Ho, but it comes out with just the "H", it is so cute though. She is growing up so fast, she'll soon be 1 year old--it is very hard to believe that time has flown by so very fast, but it has. My babies are growing up. Paydon will be 9 January 4th and that doesn't seem possible either but it is. He'll enter the 4th grade next year, *tear* I can't believe it!!

Well since it is so close to Christmas, I guess I'd better go ahead and wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! Jesus is the reason for the season! Let us never forget the First Gift of Christmas--Jesus!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FOLKS!

Hello

Just wanted to take a few moments and say hello to everyone out in blog land. Life has been great around here. Anna Claire has had a few little things we have had to deal with, thrush, colds, and the such, but she is doing better. She was doing great at sleeping thru the night, but for some reason she has recently been getting up about every 3 hours. Then if I put her into our bed she sure doesn't sleep well. So just pray she gets back to her schedule soon, because it is making me very tired.

We are also in revival with Sis. Betty Bishop this week and we had a wonderful service yesterday--the Lord really poured out his blessings on us! God is great and Greatly to be Praised. He has already do so much for me that I'll never be able to repay Him, but as the song says "Here Lord I give myself away tis all that I can do"! If you are in the area we would love to have you come out to revival--7pm 403 W Peck Road Harrisburg, AR. If you can't make it please be in prayer for each service and that God's anointing fall upon each part of the service and upon our hearts throughout the week that we could move up in the Lord.

Where has the time gone?

Boy it has been so long time since I have posted anything. Well we just got back from our annual General Assembly of The Church of God and had a great time in the Lord! SO much has happened that I'm sure I can't pick it all back up, but I'll try to do better. I'm now into FB so check me out there if you want. Have a great day!

Pictures

Well I have been playing with photos the last few days and it would really consume all my time if I allowed it too. I've decided that I would love to take photos part time as fun for a hobby so this is my first attempt at any type of editing and photo taking. So you all will have to let me know what you think!

Is this the way we would sing these well-known hymns–if we were honest.

I Surrender Some

There Shall Be Sprinkles of Blessings

Fill My Spoon, Lord

Oh, How I Like Jesus

He’s Quite a Bit to Me

I Love to Talk About Telling the Story

Take My Life and Let Me Be

It is My Secret What God Can Do

There is Scattered Cloudiness in My Soul Today

Onward, Christian Reserves

Where He Leads Me, I Will Consider Following

Just As I Pretend to Be

When the Saints Go Sneaking In

When I led songs Sunday Night we started with Psalms 100. After we sang thru once the Lord impressed upon me to stop and read the words of those verses. At times we sing songs without actually thinking about what we are singing. We sing from memory so to speak never stopping to think about what the song means. If we would think about the powerful words behind each song we sing what a wonderful blessing we could receive. I think that true worship begins once we stop and HEAR the words of a song and stop just singing from memory. So next time you are singing a song, take a minute to really focus on it's meaning.

I posted these quote back in April of 2007 and thought I would pull them back out. They make you stop and think!

Have a great day!

Mothers Day

Well Mothers Day is just right around the corner. I was reading today online and they were talking about what mom's really wanted for Mothers Day and none of them listed "GIFTS" but they all wanted to just spend time with their children. We sometimes get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of life that we don't take the time for the little things in life. For instance have you ever told your child it was time for bed and they asked you to tuck you in and you asked your spouse to do it so you could finish up the dishes? I know I have, but I want to cherish every minute I have with my children. They are truly a gift from God and I never want to forget that. I was reading Brother Queeners book Sunday and was reading of how he and his wife lost several children with in an hour of their birth and I thought about how horribly it would be to loose 1 much less 3 or 4. God has truly blessed me with two wonderful children and I never want to take that for granted!

I hope all you wonderful Mothers have a great Mothers Day and get to spend time with your family.

Paydon & Anna Claire

I just have a minute and wanted to put an updated picture of the kids up. This was in March 2009 so Anna Claire was two months old. She has grown quite a bit, but this is a great picture of them both!

Life is Good

Just wanted to take the time to blog. I really like to blog more than I like to do Facebook, I guess in part because I can do Blogger at work and when I'm home I never have time to get online. Anna Claire is doing great! We have started her on cereal and she is doing pretty good with that. She is also sleeping great she normally only gets up once and it is about 5 or so that really isn't even considered getting up in the night if you ask me. Paydon is also doing well--he is doing really good right now with his reading. As a matter of fact he made a 102 on his reading test today. PTL. He wasn't doing too hot, but all of a sudden he has made a complete turn around. Please continue to remember my father. He is doing well, but still needs our prayers. Well I need to do some laundry so I best go. Have a great weekend! And if I don't make it back till weeks down the road "HAPPY MOTHERS DAY" to all you wonderful moms out there!

What have we been up to?

Well starting with last Thursday my father was put into the hospital after almost blacking out during a stress test. He had been having some chest pains off and on so his heart doctor recommended a stress test and some other tests. They ran a heart cath on Thursday afternoon late and it came back clear with no blockages, however they still needed to find out why he almost blacked out. So they referred him to a doctor in Memphis, TN and transported him there Friday afternoon. They met with the doctor on Friday at Memphis and he stated that he would probably need to install a defibrillator. They went in on Monday afternoon and installed that device and he came home on Tuesday. He seems to be doing good. They are worried about the hospital bills and the fact that he will not be able to continue working at his current job, but God knows all about it and God will supply the need! Just please say a prayer for them that God give them the peace that only he can. One more thing--when the Doctor in Jonesboro done the heart cath he was amazed to report that the main artery that was clogged 100% in 1999 when he had his heart attach is now only 30% blocked. To God be the GLORY!

This week we began our Youth Week and boy have we had a good time. The services have been absolutely wonderful to say the least! God has surly visited us in a mighty way. Tonight we wind down with a social at Trumann as well as watching "Facing the Giants". I've seen it before, but it's just such a good movie that you can handle watching it time after time. Then Saturday we are having an afternoon at the park with a singing and preaching. It should be a very nice warm day for that. Thankfully no rain is in the forecast. I hope all of you out there have had a great youth week as well. God bless each of you!

Hmm?

I found this article on our local news site and thought it was worth posting.

Grape juice no more: Ark. church to worship at bar

Please click on Link to read the article.

http://www.kait8.com/global/story.asp?s=10151228

I know we should take the whole message to the whole world, but we are also to abstain from the very appearance of evil. What are your thoughts?

In other news we are all doing great. We got back home from Youth Convention around 8pm Saturday and we had a good trip there and back. I was worried a little though because Ms. Anna Claire is not a fan of the car seat and the 3 1/2 hours in the car had me worried, but she did great! PRAISE THE LORD.

We had a great convention, but somehow it just didn't seem like the conventions that we used to have. I know that God has not changed, so I wonder what has changed. Maybe I'm the only one that feels this way and if so I guess it is me that has changed. Not that convention wasn't good, but people don't seem to come out as much as they used to for conventions--that goes for all conventions, not just Youth Convention. I know that money is tight and it takes extra money to travel, however have we forgotten that our Lord will take care of us if we will put him first in our life? I just wish that people could get their want to fixed. God will soon be telling Jesus to come get his Bride and I want to be ready to meet him in the air! One of these days we will witness that Meeting in the Air we have been singing about for years! Oh I want to see Him!

Well I guess I've rambled enough. I hope you all have a great week and a Happy Easter. Let us not forget what Jesus has done for us during this Easter Season!
God Bless You All!

Pictures

Well I just thought I would put up a picture of Paydon and Anna Claire. They turned out so great! I have several more I may put on here, but I don't have time to scan them in yet.

Well Youth Convention is TOMORROW! We are hoping for a great out pouring of the Holy Ghost.

Also while I'm here can you all please pray for Anna Claire. As I said in my last post she got her first round of shots on Monday and she now has a snotty nose and it's feeling very well. We leave out tomorrow for the Youth Convention and I want he to be well!

Happy Easter

Just a quick post to put up an Easter picture of the kidos. We are all doing well. Anna Claire got her first round of shots on Monday and although she cried really hard, she did really well after it all was said and done. She hasn't ran any fever although she has gotten a little bit of a snotty nose which I hope is nothing!

Let's see what else has been going on? Well we are getting ready for your Youth Convention this weekend in Russellville and can't wait to see everyone there and are praying for a great Convention---our young people need it and so do our JOY's! Well I guess that is all I have for now. Hope you all have a great Easter!

Introducing Anna Claire

Well Miss Anna Claire was born on January 23, 2009 at 12:57 PM by c-section. She is a happy, healthy, beautiful baby girl who is adored by her brother and parents! She weighed in at 6lbs. 8oz and was a nice 19 inches long. We are both doing well and as a family adjusting to life with 4 instead of 3. The c-section went well and my recovery was pretty good besides some minor set backs. We went thru the worst Ice Storm in years and was without electricity for 4 day when she was only 5 days old. That proved to be hard on my nerves and my recovery. Thank the Lord on day 3 or was it day 2 we got a generator so we has some light and TV for Paydon. Also we were thankful that my parents had gas logs so we were warm the whole time! Then when she was one month old we had a pretty large snow--we've had a winter for the record books that is for sure. Other than all of that we are doing good. I am now back at work and getting back into the routine of normal life with a family of 4. I had forgotten how much work a new baby can be, but we are enjoying every moment of it! Well I've got to go---hope you are all doing well in Blog Land!

It's getting Closer!

Well--we are counting down now! Only a little over two weeks till little Anna Claire arrives. I'm getting to the place where I am a little bit miserable. I can't sleep for very long at a time and just those pregnancy pains--back ache--feet hurt--oh me I could go on, but this is such a blessing that I don't want to complain! I really don't have much to say--everything seems to be going just as planned--which I am very thankful for! My last appt my blood pressure was 114/72--it's staying lower that it was when I wasn't pregnant, which makes ma happy seeing as how I was on bed rest with Paydon for 6 weeks due to high blood pressure. This pregnancy has been so different than the first one--everyone tells you it will be that way, but we never believe it till we experience it for ourselves! Well I need to try to get to bed. I'll try to post a pick I took of Paydon and used some editing--I'm new to it so don't laugh!

Here is one more from my baby shower. This is Paydon, my mother and myself--looking very tired I might add!
